Pupsday

Our Story:
Bridging Two Cultures

Three Korean-Americans who wanted to share the quality and culture of Korean food with our dogs—and realized we weren't alone.

It Started with a Simple Question

As Korean-Americans living in the US, we grew up with Korean food as our standard for quality. When we became dog owners, we wanted our pups to experience that same authentic taste and care.

But when we looked for Korean-inspired dog treats, we found nothing that met our standards. Either the ingredients weren't authentic, the flavors were watered down, or the cultural connection was missing entirely.

That's when we realized: if we wanted Korean-American dog owners to have access to authentic Korean treats made with real quality, we'd have to create it ourselves.

Meet the Founders

We're three Korean-Americans who understand both cultures—and what your pup deserves.

"I'm a first-generation Korean who moved to the US in middle school. Despite living here for years, I still start each morning with rice and soup—I can't live without rice. When Resy came into my life, I wanted her to experience the same authentic Korean food culture I grew up with."

"Resy has become the face of Pupsday and our founding dog who tests every treat. She grew up eating rice and unseasoned seaweed, and now she's helping us bring authentic Korean flavors to Korean-American dogs everywhere."

Actively looking to rescue • Lives in Korea

"I live in Korea and I'm responsible for sourcing all the amazing treats we bring to Korean-American dog owners. All my friends have dogs already, and I'm actively looking to rescue one—soon I'll finally understand what it's like to share Korean food culture with my own pup."

"Being on the ground in Korea means I can find the most authentic ingredients and treats. I know what real Korean quality looks like, and I make sure every product we source meets that standard."

"I became Resy's 'mom' in 2025, and honestly? She favors me more than she does Brian now. I'm secretly planning on stealing Resy and running away—but until then, we're building Pupsday together."

"Resy is my best friend and my inspiration. Every design decision I make is about creating something that Korean-American dog owners will love—because I know what it means to share your culture with your pup."

Our Mission

Why We Started

As Korean-Americans, we grew up with Korean food as our standard for quality. When we became dog owners, we wanted our pups to experience that same authentic taste and care.

But when we looked for Korean-inspired dog treats, we found nothing that met our standards. So we created Pupsday—authentic Korean treats made with real quality, for Korean-American dog owners.

Our Goals

  • Bring authentic Korean flavors to Korean-American dog owners
  • Maintain the same quality standards as Korean food
  • Build a community that understands cultural authenticity
  • Share Korean culture with our best friends—our dogs

Why We're Different

We Understand Both Cultures

As Korean-Americans, we've experienced both Korean and American cultures. We know what Korean food quality means, and we know what Korean-American dog owners are looking for.

We've seen the good (authentic ingredients, quality standards) and the bad (cultural appropriation, watered-down flavors). That's why Pupsday exists—to do it right.

Quality You Can Trust

We source authentic Korean ingredients because we know the difference between real quality and marketing. Every ingredient is something we'd actually want to try ourselves.

No fillers, no shortcuts, no compromises. Just the same quality standards we expect from Korean food—for your pup.
